Be Prepared:

Before commencing your journey, consider your level of fitness and that of your group and make sure you choose a trail that is suitable. Allow sufficient time to complete the return trip to your vehicle or accommodation.  If necessary, divide the trails into manageable stages and don’t attempt a long trip if you don’t cycle or walk regularly.

Make sure you bike and safety gear is in good working order - inspect your bicycle helmet, tyre pressure and condition, brakes, chain tightness and lubrication.

Dress comfortably and appropriately to suit the weather conditions and don’t forget your sunscreen!

Take these handy items with you:

Bicycle puncture repair kit and bicycle pump.

Mobile phone and a list of emergency phone numbers.

Sufficient water and food for your journey.

Small first aid kit including sunscreen.

Protecting the environment:

Please do not disturb any plants and animals you encounter along your journey.

Don’t forget to place your rubbish in bins or take it home with you.
